Wendy’s was founded by Dave Thomas in 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, with a simple, powerful vision: to create a fast-food restaurant where quality comes first. Dissatisfied with the lack of freshness and personal touch in the quick-service restaurant industry at the time, Dave opened the first Wendy’s with a commitment to fresh ingredients, cooked-to-order meals, and exceptional customer service.

Dave Thomas: A Legacy of Compassion
